Alan Hoffman
Alan Hoffman has spent the past 20 years working at the intersection of data analytics, cloud and SaaS technologies, and startups. His academic background is in physics, where he earned a doctorate from MIT studying the fundamental particles and forces of nature. He then left the academy to start a Database-as-a-Service startup. As the CEO of that company, he raised more than $4MM in venture investments and grew the business to more than $1MM in monthly recurring revenue. That company was then acquired by IBM where Alan took a product leadership role within the IBM Cloud. Since then he has held numerous technical leadership positions at companies large and small. He currently serves as CTO of Airspace Data, where he is working to help reduce carbon emissions from commercial flights.
Alan is a proud Chicagoan born and raised. He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, three children, and dog.
