Amara Patel

Amara Patel is a rising sophomore at Northwestern University. Originally from Kansas City, she is studying Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS), Dance, and Statistics. She’s passionate about financial equity and community-based research, and was drawn to JFLC for its commitment to dignity-driven lending and care-centered service.

Through her work with JFLC, Amara hopes to help expand equitable access to financial resources across Chicago and highlight the real stories and lasting impact behind each loan. She’s excited to be part of a team dedicated to creating meaningful, community-rooted change.
