Hilarie Lieb
Hilarie Lieb is an economist. She has worked for a wide range of organizations including the U.S Geological Survey and Chase Econometrics. She is currently an Associate Professor of Instruction Emeritus in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University, and continues to work with Northwestern’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences as a consultant to the Dean’s office, as well as an academic adviser to undergraduate students. Hilarie received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University focusing on labor economics. Her earlier research, which integrated labor market theory with public policy, analyzed outcomes that differed across race, gender, and/or ethnicity.
Hilarie has chaired multiple committees at West Suburban Temple in River Forest, IL, including the preschool, youth group, adult education, and social action committees. After serving as vice president on the Temple Board, she then became president of the congregation.
Hilarie is looking forward to being actively involved in the Jewish Free Loan Chicago Board, especially working with Leah Greenblum and other members of the Board.
