Max Antman
Max G. Antman (he/him) is a rabbi who currently serves as the Assistant Rabbi at Temple Sholom of Chicago. In his role, Max preaches, teaches, and engages with folks of all ages to foster an environment of learning and growth. He is also the rabbinic liaison for the Temple’s young adult and LGBTQIA+ communities. Prior to becoming a rabbi, Max worked as a community organizer and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice (DEIJ) consultant in the non-profit sector in Washington D.C. Max is passionate about the interplay between Jewish values and policy and is excited to bring his expertise and experience to the essential work of Jewish Free Loan Chicago.
Max has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received his rabbinic ordination at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Los Angeles.
Max recently moved to Uptown, and in his free time can be found on the beach, baking challah, or engaged in a passionate board game with friends.
