Randi Stern
Randi Stern has been a dedicated advocate for social justice and community empowerment for over a decade. She has been actively involved with the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA) since 2014, serving as a board member and on the Board Development Committee during her tenure. Randi is also a committed member of Congregation Rodfei Zedek. Her prior board service includes roles with the Hyde Park JCC and Marci’s Place, a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting children grieving the loss of a close family member.
Randi enjoys an active lifestyle. She has competed in women’s 3-on-3 basketball at the Senior Games and is an avid cyclist, frequently riding on Chicago’s lakefront and participating in Backroads Bike trips with her husband. Randi takes great pride in her family, which includes two adult children who reside in California.
She earned a BS in microbiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and enjoyed a 30-year career in medical research before retiring.
